Longtime star of the tv show Dallas, Ken Kercheval is dead at age 83, People reports. The actor, best known for playing J.R. Ewing’s oil tycoon rival Cliff Barnes, died Sunday, according to the First Funeral Home in his hometown of Clinton, Indiana.
A cause of death and additional details were not announced. Kercheval appeared on “Dallas” as Pamela Ewing’s brother from 1978 to 1991, plus the 2012 revival series. His other credits included “Network,” “Kojak,” “Starsky & Hutch,” “The Love Boat,” “CHiPs,” “Matlock,” “E.R.” and “Murder, She Wrote.”
