FARGO, N.D. (AP April 18, 2013) – Organizers have canceled this year’s Fargo AirSho in the wake of the decision by the Navy to ground the Blue Angels flying team because of federal budget cuts.
Officials say the loss of the headline event was a major factor in canceling the AirSho but there were other reasons, as well. Other branches of the military have cut back on supporting air shows, and the main food vendor for Fargo’s show also suspended operations because of other air shows canceling events.
The Fargo AirSho had been scheduled for Aug. 10-11.
