Oriska  (CSi)   – Fire fighters from Tower City and Valley City were called out Thursday to hay bales on  fire  on a semi trailer on I-94 eastbound southeast of Oriska.

The driver detached the tractor from the trailer before fire crews reached the scene. No injuries reported.

The hay bales were pushed off the trailer and burned in the south ditch of I-94.

Fire crews watched for hot spots and contained the burning hay bales.

Tower City Fire Chief Darren Halland says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
