Valley City (CSi) The Barnes County Historical Society Lecture Series Season 20 Presents: Dr. Luis da Vinha (VCSU) “Approaches to Presidential Foreign Policy-Making in the Twenty-First Century.” 7PM Thursday, May 16th at the Barnes County Museum.
This presentation will deal with many of the issues of Dr. da Vinha’s current research agenda and provides some of the findings of his recently published article in Presidential Studies Quarterly and the work being carrying out for a manuscript that Dr. Tony Dutton (VCSU) and he, have contracted with Peter Lang Publishing. Dr. Dutton will also lend comments to this presentation.
Dr. Luis da Vinha is Associate Professor of Geography and Political Science at Valley City State University. He received his Doctorate in International Relations from the University of Coimbra (Portugal). He is author of Geographic Mental Maps and Foreign Policy Change: Re-Mapping the Carter Doctrine and has published several papers on Geography and International Relations with Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan, Presidential Studies Quarterly, Journal of Policy History, the European Journal of Geography, Portuguese Journal of Political Science, and the Brown Journal of World Affairs (forthcoming) among others.

All Lectures are at the Barnes County Historical Society Museum and held in conjunction with Valley City State University. They are free and open to the public.
