Wilbur Flaig, 84, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Monday afternoon, June 10, 2019 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Wilbur Darwin Flaig was born November 5, 1934, in Jamestown, the son of Otto and Nathalia (Brandenburger) Flaig. He graduated from Jamestown High School and enlisted with the US Army on May 11, 1954. Will served in Germany and was honorably discharged on April 28, 1956. He and Iris Witkowski were united in marriage on June 9, 1957 and made their home in Jamestown. Will was a salesman for Coca-Cola for 37 years, retiring on January 1, 1997. He later worked as a custodian for Unison Bank. Will was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping, especially in Medora.

Wil is survived by his wife, Iris Flaig; four children, Susan (Gene) Anderson, Val Olafson, Steve (Rendae) Flaig, and Clay Flaig; fourteen grandchildren, Gene (Alison) Anderson, Jesse (Cathy) Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Zachary Flaig, Adam (Samantha) Olafson, Josh (Sharon) Olafson, Deidre (Matt) Myers, Amber (Greg) Gustavson, Danielle (Ryan) Walch, Brayanna Olafson, Gabrielle Anderson, Harmony Olafson, Kajun Olafson, and Ayrn Flaig; twelve great-grandchildren, Lexi, Hunter, Taylor, McKenzie, Adrian, Syler, Bryce, Jazmyn, Henry, Dominic, Henley, and Leo; two sisters, Catherine (Norman) Roemmich and Vera Whitney; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bill and Paul.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2019 at Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Pastor Peter Simpson officiating.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
