Mizkan America, Inc., Jun 17, 2019)  the producer of Ragu tomato sauces, issued a voluntary recall on Saturday for three varieties of their products. Select production codes of Ragu’s Old World Style Traditional, Old World Style Meat, and Chunky Tomato Garlic & Onion may contain plastic fragments. The company says there have not been any consumer reports of injuries or complaints.

Mizkan America Inc. asks for consumers to check the yellow caps of Ragu jars in their pantries or refrigerators and discard them immediately, or return them to the place of purchase.

Those sauces were produced between June 4-8, but the company says it believes the issues that caused the possible contamination are under control. However, they still believe a recall is necessary to prevent injury to customers.
