Washington Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, announced Wednesday, June 26, that the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development has awarded a grant and loan in this area for water infrastructure projects in North Dakota. They are:
- City of Medina, $537,000 grant, $668,000 loan – The funds will be used for water and sewer improvements, replacing water mains, fire hydrants and gate valves in the city.
- City of LaMoure, $803,000 grant, $997,000 loan – The funds will be used to remove the water tower and install a new at-grade concrete tank to feed the city’s water system.
