Jamestown  (CSi)  The Historic 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse announces its new 1883 Escape Room is accepting registration for the room.  Current puzzle is “Escape the Jail”.

The 1883 Escape Room’s purpose is to give visitors a historical and interactive experience. Their goal is to get visitors excited about their local history, and hopefully learn more about our region’s past along the way. Throughout the puzzle visitors will learn about important individuals from our regions past, as well as different ways of living. After the puzzle, stop and see the rest of the courthouse to finish your historical experience.

Players have an hour’s time t0 compete against each other solving a series of puzzles that will lead to freedom and occasionally, prizes.  A book of clues and technical documents, can consist of several puzzles for possible multiple participating groups.

Individuals acting as historical characters could be included.  Volunteers to assist are needed.   On line visit www.escape1883courthouse.com.

Previously, the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce reported that Buffalo City Escape has celebrated the opening of their new business in downtwn Jamestown.

This business is located at 311 1st Ave S, in Meidinger Square, downtown Jamestown.  The business is owned by Shannon and Courtney Wiest who got the idea of starting an escape room from the show Race to Escape.  Up to eight contestants are trapped in a room and must find different clues on how to get out of the room, with hints being provided if asked for.

  • Sunday 1pm to 5pm
