Buchanan  (NDHP_  The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports  one person was injured in a crash Thursday morning about 9:50-a.m., on Highway 52 north of Buchanan.

33 year old Mohammed Albanna, of Fairfield, Iowa was traveling southbound in a 2018 Dodge Challenger, when he crossed the center line and entered the northbound lane. An International truck driven by 65 year old Dennis Montgomery, of Carrington attempted to avoid the collision by steering onto the shoulder.

Albanna’s vehicle struck the front left side of the truck. Both vehicles entered the west ditch. Albanna was extricated and was taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Montgomery was not hurt.

Charges are pending.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
