Richard Rabideaux, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota. Dick was born on November 13, 1950, at St. Ansgar’s Hospital in Moorhead Minnesota. He was the second oldest of six children born to James Michael Rabideaux and Mary Moratis Rabideaux. When Dick was about six years old, the family moved to Jamestown, North Dakota where he was a member of St. James Catholic Church and attended St. John’s Academy and then Jamestown Junior and Senior High, graduating in 1968. Dick served in the U.S. Army and earned medals of National Defense Service and Sharpshooter M-16. Upon discharge, he returned to Jamestown where he had various jobs. In 1972, Dick married Rhonda Schmidt and they had two daughters. As a family, they lived in Jamestown, Fargo and Watford City where Dick worked for Don’s Car Wash, Cable TV, Warehouse Supervisor at Fairway Foods and Super Valu. During their time in Jamestown, they owned and operated the Land and Sea Pet Store. Several years later, Dick moved to Glendale, Arizona where he was an independent Garage Door for Installation and Repairs. Some of Dick’s favorite hobbies included cooking where he learned to make a mean batch of salsa and breakfast burritos that everyone loved. He loved to buy, remodel and sell properties and he had a keen eye for design and reconstruction. Dick is survived by daughters Ericka (Steve) Georgia and their two children; Amy Nash, Fargo; siblings Rita (Roy) Slupe, Frazee; Ron (Sarah) Rabideaux, Frazee; Randy Rabideaux, Frazee; Geni (Jim) Holben, Jamestown and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Roxane Rabideaux. Visitation: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home with Monsignor Jeffrey Wald officiating. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
