Daniel Lewis Redmann was born on November 9, 1961 in Jamestown, North Dakota and passed away at his home in Jamestown on Monday July 29, 2019.
Daniel enlisted in the North Dakota Army National Guard in May 1979 and completed his basic training and AIT at Fort Leonard Wood, MO that summer. He graduated from Montpelier High School in May of 1980. Daniel was honorably discharged after six years of service in the National Guard and his awards were NDNG Basic Training Ribbon, Marksman Award for M16, and the Army Service Ribbon. Daniel was always proud of his military service.
Daniel’s employment during his working years included, farming with his dad, Schwan’s in Wyoming, Gerdau Metal Recycling in Jamestown as well as working for area farmers. He loved his son and enjoyed spending time with him. Daniel often had a troubled soul but in times of clarity he had a kind and generous heart. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
Daniel is survived by his father, Earl L. Redmann of Jamestown, his son, Daylon Moores and Daylon’s mother, Mary Moores, both of Devils Lake, ND and ten siblings; David (Annette) Redmann of Millarton, ND, Deborah (Terry) Johnson of Windsor, ND, Diana (Jan) Michener o0f Detroit Lakes, MN, Deone (Francis) Bergman of Bonney Lake, WA, Darcy (Doug) Walters of Farmington, NM, Koren (Steve) Lews of Wakesfield, KS, Steven (Kelly) Redmann of Menomonie, WI, Connie (Larry) Carpenter of Sterling, VA, Kristen (Randy) Weber of Wheatland, ND and Sarah Kinney of Des Moines, IA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Valeria F. Heath of Jamestown.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made in Daniel’s name to the Client Donation Fund @ South Central Human Service Center, 520 NW 3rd Street, Jamestown, ND 58401. Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown with family receiving friends an hour prior. Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota. Arrangements are in the care of Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.
