Travis was born July 2, 1975 in Billings, Montana to Douglas Schutt and Rhonda (Morehouse) Stone. At a young age, Travis moved with his father and siblings to West Virginia. He graduated from Spencer High School, Spencer West Virginia with the class of ’93, which was also the very last graduating class for Spencer High School. Travis was a very social man; he loved being around people. He would start a conversation with anyone and always made people feel comfortable, regardless of the situation. Growing up in Spencer, he was part of the Boy Scouts Troop 437. He ran track, played park basketball, fished with his brother Robert and enjoyed deer hunting with his father. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and West Virginia Mountaineers. Few knew that he was quite a chess enthusiast. His interest in computers took him to DeVry Institute of Technology in Columbus, Ohio. Upon graduation, he moved to Jamestown, North Dakota in 1994. There he met Lezlie Taylor and together they had a son, Dorian Schutt (Texas). Travis worked several places in the Jamestown area. He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing his culinary talents at Applebee’s and the Depot Café. Most recently, he was employed at Menards as a Customer Service Rep. Travis had an indelible spirit. Throughout his life his quick wit, humor and mischievous smile endeared Travis to family and friends. Travis is preceded in death by grandparents Walter (Bud) and Ella Schutt, Palmer and Marlene Morehouse, and uncle, Paul Morehouse. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Friday, August 23, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Eldridge Cemetery.
