David “Whitey” Theodore Moser, 77, of West Fargo, North Dakota, lost his battle with Dementia and Primary Progressive Aphasia on Wednesday September 11, 2019, at Bethany Retirement Living surrounded by family.Whitey was born on May 27, 1942 in Jamestown, ND to Theodore and Esther Moser. He grew up on a farm in Medina, ND and moved to Jamestown, ND in 1960 where he graduated from high school in 1961. Whitey enlisted in the Army and served from 1961 to 1963. While on leave, he met Linda Siebert at Jamestown hospital where both of their moms were patients recovering in the same room. They were married on December 1, 1963 in Edmunds, ND by Reverend McCoy.

Whitey had a knack for sales and earned numerous awards in RV and mobile home sales while living in Devils Lake, ND. During their years in Devils Lake, Whitey and Linda enjoyed bowling and introduced their kids to hockey, a sport that would come to hold great meaning to their family. They also had many years of family hunting experiences thanks to Whitey’s special relationship with his Uncle Ozzie and his Aunt Dorothy that were looked back on fondly.

Following a move to West Fargo in 1976, Whitey transitioned to convenience store management. Despite an exemplary work ethic, Whitey was forced into early retirement at 59 due to severe bilateral Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. His health continued to challenge him, first through recurrent operable skin cancer and eventually with diagnoses of Primary Progressive Aphasia and Frontal-Temporal Dementia.

Whitey served on the West Fargo Hockey Association Board for 8 years and 11 years as Tournament Chair. He spent many weekends selling hockey cards at youth tournaments, making the day of everyone he encountered. Whitey boasted an impressive 40-year softball career with his #1 fan, Linda, his angel and cornerstone, by his side. Whitey and Linda relished their time attending events to cheer on their four boys and later their grandkids.
