Deloris Irene Walsh,  93, of Jamestown, ND passed away September 13, 2019.

Deloris was raised on a farm in Alfred, ND. After chores and supper, her and her sister, Sally would stay up late in their bedroom and teach themselves to play the guitar by listening to the radio. They started playing Christian music on the radio and were known as the “Dakotas Singing Cowgirls”. Deloris married Stanley Fidge on May 4, 1946. To this union, four children were born. With her husband in the military service, she was able to stay with her Mother and Father-in-law. Every Christmas they would bake 800 sugar cookies and freeze them for the year. She was able to attend Chicago World Fair. She also lived in a small apartment in New York when her husband was stationed there. They later lived in Pingree, ND where they owned the only tavern in town. After her husband passed away December 24, 1962, Deloris and her four children moved to Jamestown. On November 17, 1967 Deloris and Gerald Walsh were united in marriage. They were able to live in several different states and were married for 51 years.

Deloris is survived by her husband, Gerald “Bill” Walsh, her children; Madelyn Neuman, Brenda Buettenback, Bonnie Schweitzer, and Todd Fidge, brother-in-law, Gordon (Dorene) Fidge, and sister-in-law, JoAnne Flaig.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Elsie Flaig, son, Otis Fidge, foster son, Michael Niess, son-in-law, Randall Buettenback, siblings; Sally Forsman, Lloyd and Ida Flaig, Jane Henke, Harry and Norman Flaig, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Victory Lutheran Brethren, Jamestown.
