Jamestown  (CSi)  At Monday’s  school board meeting, it was announced that the Jamestown Public School District has received the North Dakota Recreations and Parks Association Partnership Award in conjunction with the  collaboration with the On-TRAC Learning Center.

The collaboration supported early literacy interventions.

Superintendent  Robert Lech said  the nominated for the award came  Two Rivers Activity Center’s Amy Walters.

The school board also was given a report on the 2019 seniors, regarding  what they’re doing after graduation.

According to the report, 64% of the students are enrolled in a 4 year college, 15% in a 2 year college, 1% in vo-tech, 5% in military service, 10% unemployed, and 5% unknown.

At the meeting it was noted that the school district is in the mist of  a social media campaign to educate voters on the Capital Projects Plan, cost of the referendum, and priority needs at each school campus.

The referendum is set for September 24th and early voting is currently underway.
