Ida Morlock, 94, Rogers, MN, formerly of the Streeter and Napoleon area, went to heaven on Wednesday November 6, 2019.
Ida Pauline Elhard was born on December 27, 1924 the daughter of Joseph and Carolina (Schrum) Elhard, 10 miles northeast of Burnstad, ND. She attended Lehr High School and Fargo correspondence. Upon graduation she moved to Aberdeen, SD and worked as a restaurant waitress. Ida taught school in Streeter and Fredonia, ND.
Ida and Gerhardt Morlock were married May 15, 1946 in Gackle, ND. They first made their home on a farm in Lehr, than later moved 10 miles south of Streeter where they farmed and ranched for 30 years.
The jobs Ida performed included school teacher, farm wife, Avon lady, and upon moving to Napoleon waitress and cook at Wentz Café and Napoleon Sales Barn.
Ida was a member of the United Methodist Church, Jamestown VFW, American Legion Auxiliary, Napoleon Wildlife Club, lifetime member of Golden Age Club, Good Neighbors Club, and Jamestown Area Singles Club.
Ida is survived by her 4 children, Ron (Carol) Morlock, Fargo, ND; Marlys Geinert, Bismarck, ND; Marcella Crowder, Richmond, VA; Bob (Nita) Morlock, Rogers, MN; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerhardt Morlock, son William Morlock, parents, 5 brothers, Irvin, Melvin, Harvey, Rueben and Larry, and 2 sisters Barbara and Serena.
Visitation – 4–7 PM Friday Nov 8 and 9–11 AM Saturday Nov 9 at the Haut Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND
Celebration of Life – 11:00 AM Saturday Nov 9 at the Haut Funeral Home
