Cindy Barnes, 61, Jamestown, ND died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home in Jamestown.
Cindy Barnes was born June 28, 1958 at Port Clinton, Ohio, the daughter of Jack Barnes and Audrey (Bloomfield) Barnes. At an early age she came with her parents to ND where they farmed North of Courtenay. She received her elementary education in Courtenay graduating from the Courtenay High School. She then attended NDSU at Fargo, ND.
She worked at the JRMC in Jamestown as a Unit Clerk in the emergency department for 19 years and was a member of the Mable Lutheran Church in Sutton.
Cindy was very creative. She was always making wreaths, birdhouses, or something. She was smart and clever. If she hadn’t done something before, she worked at it until she got it. She would tackle anything. She had a great sense of humor. She loved all her co-workers and considered them as a second family. She was very disappointed when she had to quit due to her cancer. Once again, she took on her cancer with exuberance, never feeling sorry for herself, just doing what she needed to do and all this while taking care of her mother. She was now cancer-free. She was a very strong person and was her mother’s lifeline. She was so looking forward to our family Christmas on Nov 17th before we went to Arizona. She had made a variety of candy and was going to have each person make a plate for themselves. We loved her dearly and will miss her terribly. Rest in peace, Cindy. We know you will keep everyone in stitches in heaven!
Surviving are her mother, Audrey, Jamestown, ND; two brothers, Brad (Jan) Barnes, Courtenay, ND and Craig (Robin) Barnes, Adrian, ND; 1 nephew; 1 niece and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father in 2007.
