(AP) Fox News Channel (CSi Cable 32) is replacing anchor Shepard Smith with Bill Hemmer, who has worked at the network since jumping there from CNN in 2005. Smith and his 3 p.m. Eastern newscast had become known for his occasional blunt refutations of some things said on Fox’s prime-time opinion shows. He abruptly quit the network in October. Fox says the afternoon show will remain a news program. Hemmer will also be the lead anchor on all of Fox’s breaking news coverage. His new role begins Jan. 20
