WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. military says a U.S. Special Forces soldier who died in Afghanistan this week was seizing a Taliban weapons cache when he was killed. A spokesman says Sgt. 1st Class Michael Goble was clearing out the weapons discovered in Kunduz Province when an explosion happened. The U.S. is disputing Taliban claims that the service members were in a convoy targeted by a roadside bomb.
