Nanette Sova was born July 25, 1969, the daughter of Jerome and Pat (Carpenter) Sova. She grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1987. Nanette graduated from Jamestown College in 1991 with Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. On July 6, 1991, she was united in marriage to Wade Hockert at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown. They moved to Pueblo, CO where she was employed as a lead accountant, and she gave birth to their two boys, Matt and Chris. The family moved to Fargo where their home has been since. Nanette was employed as the Controller at Metal Tech in Fargo. She was active in 4-H in her youth and became a club leader when her boys were involved. Nanette was also a member of the PTA. She loved the outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. Nanette was gifted with ceramics, judging them and participating at the Red River Valley Fair.
She is survived by her husband, Wade Hockert; sons, Matthew (Meghan) Hockert and Christopher Hockert; parents, Jerome and Pat Sova; brothers, John (Connie) Sova and Paul (Kari) Sova; one niece and seven nephews.
Nanette was preceded in death by her in-laws, Darrell and Margaret Hockert.
