FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Icy weather has caused problems with electrical transmission lines in parts of eastern North Dakota Friday evening. According to KFGO Radio, Cass County Electric Co-op says customers in the Valley City and Fort Ransom areas reported outages Friday due to ice and frost build-up on power lines.

Some of the power lines were hanging as low as 5 feet off the ground. The co-op says its crews were working to remove the ice and frost. Similar conditions were reported by Minn-Kota Power Co-op.
