Robert “Bob” Hazelton, 94, died Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Sheyenne Care Center, in Valley City.
Bob was born October 9, 1925 to Lindon and Albina Hazelton in Edgeley, ND. Bob lived his entire life in his hometown of Edgeley until requiring nursing home care. In 1944 he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and was in the Pacific Theatre. He was honorably discharged in 1945. Bob and Christine Lantz were united in marriage in April of 1953. Together they had four children, Tim (Elaine) of Jamestown, ND, Renee Hazelton of Valley City, ND, Janet (Dennis) Wilhelm of Edgeley, ND, and Robin Hazelton in Texas.
Bob was a member of the El Zagel Shriners. He began as a member of the Sheyenne Valley Flag Corp of Valley City, later joining the Jamestown Clowns. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Carpentry was his lifelong profession as well as his hobby.
Bob is survived by his two sons; two daughter; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rose Ellen Schnell of Kansas City, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers; and sister.
No funeral services will be held.
Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley.
Arrangements are in the care of Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown & Edgeley.
