Eleanor Arlene Graves was born March 15, 1929 to Arthur and Gladys (Nelson) Graves in her grandma Nelson’s bedroom on the farm. She grew up on the farm in Woodoworth. When Eleanor was 10 years old the family moved to Pingree, ND. In 1946 she married Robert Dunwoodie (deceased) and they were the proud parents of 7 children. Eleanor moved to Jamestown in 1984.
Eleanor was a voracious reader and a political and news “Junkie”.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters Linda Gray, Jamestown, ND and Bonnie (Leon) Hansen, Jamestown, ND; sons Kevin Dunwoodie, Jamestown, ND, Steven (Patti) Dunwoodie, Bonners Ferry, ID, Dale (Julie) Dunwoodie, Pingree, ND, Ned Dunwoodie, Mandan, ND; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Tim, her grandson, Cody, three brothers Gerald, Severn, Leonard, one sister Dolores “Dolly” Johnson, one son-in-law Jim Gray and one daughter-in-law Pam (Knopp) Dunwoodie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Per Eleanor’s request, there will be no services held.
