Jean Ruth Krenz was born November 26, 1950 to Arthur and Ruth (Just) Moos in Jamestown ND. She passed away peacefully May 23, 2020 surrounded by her sisters after years of suffering from MS.

Jean grew up in rural Woodworth and was a 1968 graduate from Woodworth Public School with Salutatorian honors. She was married to Jim Krenz from 1969 to 1978. She attended ND State School of Science in Wahpeton with a business degree.

Jean worked at 1st Nat’l Bank in Jamestown after college. She started at Dakota Bake N Serv in Jamestown and worked her way up to personnel manager and later moved with the company to Olathe KS.

Jean was a Weight Watchers lecturer for many years, enjoyed bowling, seamstress, decorated many cakes, and enjoyed horse trail rides with sisters and friends. She loved to travel and went on many trips with her parents to her Dad’s army reunions. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In 1985 after years of symptoms she was diagnosed with progressive MS. She took a less demanding job at Fire and Safety Company in Kansas before moving back to ND later that year. By 1989 she entered Rosewood on Broadway Nursing Home where she resided for 31 years.

Jean was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fargo.

Jean’s sisters were honored to take care of her in the final days with the help of Hospice of the Red River Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Darrell.

She is survived by her sisters Janet (twin sister) Ron Mack at Detroit Lakes MN, Donna Moos (Marcy Blikre) in West Fargo, Deb (Craig) Hoffmann, Medina and Renee Flom, Davenport ND. Nieces and nephews, Jackie (Alan) Jantzen, Steve (Cari) Mack, Cheri (Kurt) Hodney, Nicole (Seth) Woolridge, Angie (Dustin) Holte, Emmy Hoffmann, Dustin (Liza) Hoffmann, Dena Flom, Allen Flom, Justin Flom and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be May 29, 5 pm to 7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown ND.

Graveside Service on May 30, at 10 am at Medina Cemetery with burial to follow.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley and the MS Society.
