Lori Kay Metz, 56, of Montpelier, ND, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
Lori was born February 7, 1964 in Tappen, ND, the daughter of Quincy and Caroline (Stroh) Maw. She graduated from Tappen High School, and then held several different jobs in several different states, until her latest employment with David Glinz for many years. Lori also worked as a custodian for the Montpelier Lutheran Church, and worked as the water department for the city of Montpelier.She met Mark Metz in 1994 and they were married on October 18, 2001 in Montpelier Lutheran Church. They resided in Montpelier and attended Montpelier Lutheran Church.

Lori’s family and Grandchildren came first and were very dear to her heart. She loved outdoor activities with her family such as bicycling, playing ball with her grandchildren, and enjoying long walks with her family. Lori also enjoyed shooting sports, canoeing & fishing, swimming and scuba diving.

Lori is survived by her husband, Mark; two daughters, Ann Lilly of Indio, CA and Kimberly Jackson of Montpelier; one son, Kevin Hoff of Bismarck, ND; seven grandchildren, Savannah Lilly, Silas & Dale Orf, Wyatt Hoff, Austin Jackson and Jameson & Madelyn Hoff; parents, Quincy and Caroline Maw of Tappen, ND; sisters, Mancy (Larry) Christensen of Jamestown, ND, Brenda Maw (Jerry Benson) of Bismarck, ND, Susan (Brian) Rodlund of Sisseton, SD; and brothers, Dennis (Penny) Maw of Casper, WY and David Maw of Tappen.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kayla Hoff.

 

Public Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Private Family Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Montpelier Lutheran Church, Montpelier, ND.
