With great sadness we announce that on Thursday, July 9th, 2020, Kayla Raye Gamble née Swinger, beloved daughter, sister, and wife passed away at the age of 27 in Valley City, North Dakota. She was born to Earl and Michelle Swinger on May 26, 1993. She spent her childhood in The Colony and Abilene, Texas and graduated from Wylie High School in Abilene. She married Cody Gamble in Abilene on July 6, 2012. Kayla and Cody lived in Clarksville, Tennessee and Sebring, Florida before settling down in Valley City. Kayla was employed by John Deere Seeding Group in Valley City since 2018 as a shipping/receiving clerk. She loved working for John Deere, and her supervisors and coworkers fondly remember her as a joy to work with, always willing to get the job done, and always smiling. Kayla was a lover of art and music and was known to enjoy a video game or two. Kayla was always good with her hands. From taking things and putting them back together as a child to fixing cars and working on art as an adult, she made everything she touched turn to gold. Another shining light in Kayla’s life was the way that she had with children. She was exceptional in the way that she interacted with children with such love and joy in her heart. Children loved her and she them. Kayla came into this world an absolute wild child full of life and love. Rarely would one see her without a smile on her beautiful face. We ask that you celebrate her memory by remembering her as the exuberant, vibrant and loving person that she was and to live life to its fullest. Kayla leaves behind her husband Cody Gamble of Valley City, North Dakota, her parents Earl and Michelle Swinger and sister Carly Swinger of Mansfield, Texas, parents-in-law Eric and Jeannette Gamble and brother-in-law Dakotah Gamble of Knox, Indiana, sister-in-law Alexandra Gamble of Sebring, Florida, along with numerous friends and her John Deere family. Her family would like to give special thanks to Tammy and Bob Drake and their family for taking Kayla and Cody into their lives as part of the family after their arrival to Valley City.
