The Celebration of Life Services for Oscar Moser, 91 will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020, at Temple Baptist Church, Jamestown, North Dakota, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, at Temple Baptist Church. Oscar went to meet his Savior on Thursday, August 20, at Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND.
Oscar Moser was born September 26, 1928, on the family farm, Medina, ND, to Carl P. and Lydia (Hofmann) Moser. He attended school in Medina.
In March 1954, he married Dorothy Fennern of Jamestown. They were parents of six sons and three daughters. Oscar and Dorothy, together, farmed and drove school bus for over 40 years.
Oscar was a member of First Baptist Church of Medina. He was an Honorary Chapter Member of the FFA. He was involved in the Medina Wildlife Club and won many horseshoe trophies. Oscar was an avid softball player, playing in State and National Tournaments for over 40 years. He coached several years for Pee-Wee and Babe Ruth teams. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his time spent as a hunting guide.
Oscar was a beloved husband and brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He is survived by his nine children: Brenda (Doug) Thompson, Aberdeen, SD; Lynn Taggart, Clearwater, FL; Larry (Sheila) Moser, Jamestown, ND; Carl (Evelyn) Moser, Abilene, TX; Robert (Janelle) Moser, Medina, ND; Michael (Dawn) Moser, Medina, ND; Mary (Kelly) Rachel, Jamestown, ND; Daniel (Julee) Moser, Flower Mound, TX; Scott (Angela) Moser, Medina, ND; 27 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one brother, Leon, Medina, ND; and sister and brothers-in-law: Delores Moser, Fargo, ND; Fred and MaryLou Fennern, Bismarck, ND; Bob and Patty Fennern, Jamestown, ND; Tudy Fennern, Bismarck, ND.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings: Ted, Edwin, Ernest, Alvina, Albert, Ray, Leah.
Memorials may be directed to Crystal Springs Baptist Camp or McCoy Ministries.
Face masks are encouraged to be worn while in the church.
Arrangements are in the care of the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
