Update

Jamestown  (JPD)  The Jamestown Police Department has continued to investigate a reported stabbing which occurred on September 2, 2020. With the help of tips from concerned citizens, Officers have been able to identify the suspect in the stabbing incident and recover evidence in this case.

Assitant Police Chief, Major Justice Blinsky says, 41-year-old Randy Joseph Houle of Jamestown has been arrested on suspicion of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Attempt-Robbery, and False information or report to Law Enforcement. Mr. Houle was taken into custody after being released from another facility and was transported to Stutsman County Correctional Center, where he awaits formal charges.

The 63-year-old male victim is still recovering from the injuries he sustained during the attack. The Jamestown Police Department would like to thank and express our appreciation to members of the public for their cooperation in reporting suspicious incidents to our department.

PREVIOUSLY
(Jamestown, ND) On September 2nd, 2020, at approximately 8:35-p.m.  the Jamestown Police Department was dispatched to the Park Plaza Mall, 410 10th St SE, on a report of a person being stabbed. The caller stated the male was in their building and the person with the knife was not there.
A 63-year-old male was located inside with a stab wound to his abdomen. Officer’s secured the scene and gave the male medical attention until Jamestown Ambulance arrived. Jamestown Ambulance transported the male to Jamestown Regional Medical Center, and he was airlifted to a Fargo hospital with life-threatening injuries.
There was a person of interest identified and interviewed but no arrests have been made.

The Police Department is asking residents that live between Park Plaza Mall and South Casey’s General Store to be on the lookout for anything suspicious on their property.
The stabbing may have happened on the South side of the Park Plaza Mall or in McElroy Park. The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department. Jamestown  (JPD)  A stabbing occurred late Wednesday night in SE Jamestown.

Jamestown Police Lt. Nick Hardy reported that “A caller stated the male was in their building and the person with the knife was not there.”

A 63 year-old male was located inside with a stab wound to his abdomen. Officer’s secured the scene and gave the male medical attention until Jamestown Ambulance arrived.

Jamestown Ambulance transported the man to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and he was airlifted to a Fargo hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Hardy adds, “There was a person of interest identified and interviewed but no arrests have been made,”

The stabbing may have happened on the South side of the Park Plaza Mall or in McElroy Park.
