Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Fire Department responded to a call about 3:50-p.m., to a gas spill at the Exxon gas station, at 20th Street Southwest.
Lt. Sheldon Mohr says, about 20 gallons of gas spilled from an over filled customers gas tank.
He says the gas vapor had evaporated by the time the fire units arrived. The gas had entered the storm sewer system as officials are investigating mitigation of the gas.
He says, floor dry was applied to the pavement surface.
One city fire unit and 4 fire fighters were on the scene about 10 minutes. 15 firefighters were on standby at the city fire hall.
