Carolyn Subart, 68, Jamestown, ND died on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Eventide Senior Living Center.

Carolyn was born on August 2, 1952 to Ms. Johnnie Mae Walker in Hattiesburg, MS. Her and her mother were very active in the Civil Rights movement during the ‘60’s. For part of this time, she also lived with Rev. Robert Beech and his family and assisted with their efforts in the movement.

Carolyn met her husband, Richard, while she was attending Jamestown College. They settled in Jamestown in 1980, and were blessed with a son, Alexander. She spent much of her time raising Alex, and participating in martial arts tournaments with him. Carolyn was an avid reader.

During her later years, Carolyn held dual residence in Jamestown and Hattiesburg. When in Hattiesburg, she worshipped at her family’s home church, True Light Missionary Baptist Church. When in Jamestown, she worshipped at the First Assembly of God.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory; her husband; Richard, son; Alexander, sister; Donnetta McAdoo (Larry), Jackson, MS, and her extended family; Rinda Williams, Stephanie Howze, Annice Hearns, Raylonnie Scott, Lisa Coleman Davis and all who knew her will miss her humor, wit and love.
