Jamestown (CSi) At the Jamestown school board meeting Monday, School Supt Dr. Robert Lech presented his Annual Report for 2019 – 2020, saying it presented a set of challenges that “nobody could have reasonably foreseen.”
The report covers several school district topics including staff and average daily membership.
Dr. Lech added it was decided to continue with Instructional Plan #1 based on the current impact of COVID-19 at the school, and district levels.
He says the committee will continue to meet if a member wants to discuss any potential changes before making a recommendation to the full School Board.
Dr. Lech also the talked about the Capital Projects Planning (CPP), to focus ESSER dollars in appropriate amounts to different projects and plotting out the needs of the district over the next 10 years.
He recommended the school board send the plans to another committee that will review the CPP and add another perspective to the board that would have specific items including scheduled maintenance, 3-year asbestos review, regular updates to carpet and paint, equipment needs, and other unforeseen expenses that might arise.
