Maddock  (NDHP)The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a two vehicle crash 1 Mile East of Maddock, on Saturday evening about 9:21-p.m. injured the occupants from Grace City and Maddock.

Driver No. 1:Handre Leus; 33; Grace City, North Dakota; non-life-threatening injuries

Restraints:None – Front & Side Airbag Deployment

Charges:Driving Under the Influence – Following Too Closely

Passenger No. 1: Jacques Pitout; Male; 39; Grace City, ND; non-life-threatening injuries

Restraints:None; Front & Side Airbag Deployment

Passenger No. 2: Martin Visagie; Male; 30; Grace City, ND; non-life-threatening injuries

Restraints:None; Side Airbag Deployment

Driver No. 2: Ryno Conradie; 33; Maddock, North Dakota; non-life-threatening injuries

Restraints:Shoulder & Lap Belt – Front & Side Airbag Deployment

Charges:Driving Under the Influence – Improper Turn Around

Passenger No. 1: Andre Olivier; Male; 32; Grace City, ND; non-life-threatening injuries

Restraints:None; Front & Side Airbag Deployment

Leus and Conradie w ere both traveling eastbound on 38th Street NE approximately one mile east of Maddock. Conradie was traveling in front of Leus. Conradie reduced his speed to complete a U-Turn at a filed approach to travel westbound back towards Maddock.Leus struck Conradie at a right angle in the west bound lane of 38th Street NE. Vehicle 1 came to final rest on its wheels facing mostly east in the north ditch. Vehicle 2 came to final rest on its wheels facing northeast in the north ditch. Leus, Conradie, and Olivier sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries and refused transportation to a medical facility. Pitout and Visagie both received serious non-lifethreatening injuries. Pitout was transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot by Valley Med Flight. Visagie was transported to CHI Saint Alexius in Devils Lake by Maddock Ambulance Service.
