Andrew P. Hatlestad – Aug 19, 2021

Andrew P. Hatlestad, 20, of New London, MN died on Thurs Aug 19, at the St. Cloud Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake near New London. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in New London. www.hafh.org

Andrew Phillip Hatlestad was born on September 11, 2000, in Willmar the son of Phillip and Carolyn (Lange) Hatlestad. He grew up on the family farm west of New London and graduated in 2019 from New London High School where he had been active in FFA, concert band, jazz band, theater, speech and cross country. He became an Eagle Scout in 2019. He was currently working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bethesda in Willmar, Minnesota while attending Ridgewater College in the Registered Nursing Program.

Andrew was a member of First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake, where he was baptized and confirmed.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Phillip and Carolyn; brothers, Erik Hatlestad of New London and Adam (Lexa) Hatlestad of New London; girlfriend, Wah Wah; and numerous aunts and uncles including Darwin Lange and Heidi Heitkamp of Mandan, and Dennis Lange and Abigail Ring of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; and extended family in Jamestown and Spiritwood.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doris and Ellsworth Hatlestad of New London, Bill and Marge Lange of Jamestown and great-grandparents Adwolt and Ruth Scott of Spiritwood and William and Ella Lange of Jamestown.
