MINOT, N.D.  (UJ) — Two goals in the first period and two more in the second were enough for Minot State University Friday night, as the Beavers blanked the University of Jamestown 4-0.

Eric Soar and Drew Carter made it 2-0 for the Beavers in the first, then Davis Sheldon and Nick Doyle doubled the lead with second-period goals.

Jamestown had nine combined shots in the first 40 minutes before outshooting Minot State 8-1 in the final period.

The Jimmies return to action at Midland University next Friday and Saturday.
