Allen V. Martell – Weds Sept 29, 2021

Allen V. Martell, 79, Jamestown, ND died Weds Sept 29, 2021 at Eventide Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Allen was born March 26, 1942 at Wishek, ND, the son of August and Katherina (Reich) Martell. He grew up in the area and graduated from Lehr High School in 1961.

He and Betty Buchholz were married February 5, 1963. They made their home at Kulm and Jamestown. Over the years he had many places of employment including Kevin Carlson and Glinz Farms, Vining Oil, Border States, Stoudt’s, Cenex in Kulm and Standard Stations in Jamestown and Kulm.

Allen was involved with the Individual’s Motorcycle Club, serving as Secretary and playing Santa for the Christmas in July Run for the Anne Carlson School. He was also a part of many bike runs, hill climbs, an ABATE District #8 Representative and playing “Trip around the World”, which he made the board and boards for his kids. He was also a Boy Scout Leader, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with countless friends.

Allen is survived by his 5 children; Tina Martell, Minot, ND; Melissa (Joe) Glass, Detroit Lakes, MN; Heather Martell (Darrin Forderer), Jamestown, ND; Miranda Martell (Joe Malmstead), Jamestown, ND; and Mike Martell (Angie Allmer), Jamestown, ND, including Angie’s children, Alison (Matt) Kopp, Adam, Jennifer and Thomas Allmer; 6 Grandchildren, Brittney (Doug) Thompson, Nicholas (Karly) Starkey, Aaron Greenstein (Alyssa Behnke), Katie Glass, Grace Glass and Kaden Malmstead; and 6 great grandchildren, Sophie, Milo, Maddie, Lydia, Destery, and Payton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Dean.

Memorial Service- 1:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND.

Interment-Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.

Arrangements-Haut Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Jamestown.
