(UJ) The University of Jamestown football team ended its 2021 season Saturday afternoon with a 77-6 loss to No. 25 Dordt (Iowa) University at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.
Jamestown ends the season with a 2-9 record overall, 2-8 in the GPAC.
Dordt (7-3) scored on seven first-half possessions to take a 49-0 lead at halftime.
The Jimmies lone touchdown came on a 26-yard pass from wide receiver Ryan Collins (SO/Akron, Ohio) to Javon Bowie-Monteiro (JR/Sacramento, Calif.) with 14:54 remaining.
UJ finished with 235 yards of total offense in the game. Cade Torgerson (JR/Billings, Mont.) completed 24-of-45 passes for 174 yards and was intercepted twice. Matt Chauvin (JR/Manton, Calif.) completed two passes for 13 yards. Cadin Rose (FR/Grand Rapids, Mich.) gained 17 yards rushing on six carries. Micah Madyun (FR/Ramsey, Minn.) had eight catches, while Bowie-Monteiro had a team-best 52 yards receiving.
Brooks Canfield (SO/Tempe, Ariz.) led the defense with 11 total tackles, and Jordan Olson (JR/Prior Lake, Minn.) had eight tackles and an interception.
Torgerson and Madyun both ended the year putting their names in the JImmie record book.
Torgerson set new season records for completions (259), attempts (505), and passing yards (2978).
Madyun finished with 69 catches, breaking the previous mark of 66.
