Beloved wife, mother, grand and great-grandma Valeria Lois (Entzminger) Orr, passed away on January 11, 2022 at the age of 79. She was born at home in Sharlow Township, ND on March 13, 1942 to Lawrence and Frances (Wolf) Entzminger. In 1943 the family moved to Corwin Township. Val went to grade school in Sydney Township and then at Jamestown High School. Val married Clifford Orr on September 6, 1958 at St. James Basilica. They moved to their present farm site at that time. There they raised five wonderful children; Bernice, Robin, Gail, Darron, and Troy. They worked on their dairy farm and started More From Orr Auctioneers in 1971 where she was the clerk for 42 years. She created the company slogan. Family was her most important business. She was active in the North Dakota and National Auctioneers Ladies Auxiliaries, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, St. James Circle, and St. James Basilica.

Val was the giver of Zebra gum, rhubarb pies, and fruit cake. She was the maker of asparagus and dill soup, strudel, and apple bars. She was the creator of magical Christmases and trips to Las Vegas and Medora; the kids always enjoyed riding in “The Camper” – Legendary Memories. She raised bountiful gardens, gorgeous flower beds, and loving families. She was a Keno Connoisseur. She was the driver of fast trucks down gravel roads delivering hot meals to those helping in the field. It wasn’t uncommon to see tractors or combines racing to the end of the field to see what delicious meal was being served; plus we all knew you didn’t keep Val waiting. She was very organized; writing up sales, balancing sales, making meals, and keeping track of the business and family.
