Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown Arts Center will host a presentation on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at 7-p.m., entitled, “Oy Vey is Jewish for Uff-da.”
On Friday’s (Aug 2, 2013) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Arts Center Director, Taylor Barnes said Elisa Korenne originated the idea from her experience of moving from New York City, to Minnesota.
In New York she lived next door to millions of fellow Jews, and then in New York Mills, Minnesota she was the only Jewish person with 100 miles, or so it seemed.
For the past 12 years she has recorded and performed her music regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Tickets at the door are $7 for Arts Center Members, $10 General Admission.
Also Ms. Barnes noted the current exhibit at the Arts Center closes August 17th, by photographer of the American West Laton Alton Huffman.
In the Arts Center lobby it’s black and white photography by Jamestown Regional Airport Manager, Matthew Leitner, who is also instruction a photography class at The Arts Center.
Ms.Barnes pointed out that the Jamestown Fine Arts Association’s 2013 Annual Juried Show runs September 7 – October 18, 2013.
Entries may include, painting, mixed media, fiber, photography, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, ceramics and more.

The North Dakota Art Gallery Association, Annual Meeting, will coincide with the exhibit reception to be held for artists to meet N.D. Gallery directors and curators, on September 15, 2013 at 3-p.m., at the Jamestown Arts Center.
