On 3-8-22 around 1021 PM, A Richland County Deputy was conducting a traffic stop on the median side of Interstate 29 in the southbound lanes around MM 13. A pickup traveling southbound, failed to move over and struck the patrol vehicle. A total of three vehicles were involved. The Deputy had to be extricated from her patrol car and suffered a broken arm in the incident.
I 29 was shut down for a short period of time until vehicles could be moved, and the Deputy was transported to Fargo for medical treatment.
Agencies that responded are as follows. Highway Patrol, Richland County Sheriff’s office, Richland County rescue and local Ambulance.

The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
