Jamestown  (CSi)  The Stutsman County Park Board got an update from member Bob Martin on the planned releases for both Pipestem Dam and Jamestown Reservoir this week.

Martin says the releases will increase slowly starting Wednesday.

The 150 cfs release from Pipestem Dam is being increased by 100 cfs to 250 cfs.

On Thursday this week, Jamestown reservoir’s release moves up another 100 cfs to 500 cfs for a combined release of 750 cfs.

Martin  says both Pipestem and Jamestown Reservoir have increased since ice melt, with Pipestem coming up seven feet since last week,  up 26 feet since  since “ice out” occurred,  Jamestown Reservoir up 11 feet since “ice out.”

At this time, the Arrowwood Refuge area near the dam has been filled with water, having backed up six feet from Jamestown Reservoir into Arrowwood, at 1431 feet.
