A Jeep Wrangler was traveling northwest down the exit ramp from Interstate 94 onto ND
Highway 1806. The Wrangler was traveling in an erratic manner and drove through the intersection
and into the west ditch of ND Highway 1806. The Wrangler impacted an embankment, and the driver
was ejected and later died of his injuries at Sanford Hospital. The crash is still under investigation by
the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

On June 10, 2022 at approximately 12:00 noon, Fargo Police Department
requested ND Highway Patrol assistance with a serious injury motorcycle crash that also
involved a commercial motor vehicle. Troopers investigated the crash and learned that
Schweitzer was operating a motorcycle westbound on 12th Avenue N near Interstate 29.
Hamre was operating a bobtail International truck southbound on Interstate 29 and had
turned westbound on 12th Avenue N. Schweitzer approached the truck and laid the bike
down, sliding into the truck. Schweitzer was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious
injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the ND Highway Patrol.
