Valley City (CSi) – Let’s Walk Valley City will be held from 5 to 8 pm, July 18, with no charge to participate. The 1.5 mile route starts at either Jefferson Elementary or Hi-Line Prairie Gardens and Orchard. Join the fun by walking, biking, blading or running the route. Along the way, there will be games, activities, live music, art, and delicious food.
Attendees can visit over 25 booths with many different activities for kids and adults. Try pickleball, learn a dance, hula hoop, listen to live music, play carnival games, paint part of Mural ON THE MOVE, or check out the foster pets available from Sheyenne Valley Friends of Animals, and lots more.
There will also be many delicious food booths set up along the path. ON THE MOVE is excited to share Shredded Pork Sliders with you. VCSU Football Players will be serving chocolate and white milk provided by the Midwest Dairy – District 3 dairy farmers. Great Plain Food Bank will have samples of jicama and hummus for you to try. Visit other booths along the way to sample fruit and yogurt parfaits, baby carrots, oranges, apples, and more.
ON THE MOVE is teaming up with Valley City Parks and Recreation (VCPR), an ON THE MOVE partner, to promote parks in July for National Park and Rec Month. Attendees can try pickleball before the upcoming VCPR mixed doubles City Park Day Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, July 23.
