JAMESTOWN, North Dakota: Noah Knutson has been named the new Esports head coach for the University of Jamestown.

“Noah is a fantastic addition to the Jimmie family,” said UJ Director of Club & Intramural Programs John Mazur. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will greatly increase the success of the Esports team.”

Knutson, a native of Casselton, North Dakota, is a 2019 UJ graduate with degrees in Physical Education and Psychology. During his time at UJ, he competed for the Esports team and served as the program’s graduate assistant. Knutson’s brother Josh (UJ class of 2015) served as the founding coach of the Esports program from 2015 – 2019.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to continue my journey here at the University of Jamestown as the new head coach of the Esports team,” Knutson said. “I’ve been a part of this team since its creation five years ago, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue working with it alongside an amazing staff. This program has a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to see it grow and thrive. Go Jimmies!” Established in 1883, the University of Jamestown is a private, liberal arts university granting Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Science in Nursing degrees, as well as Master’s Degrees in Education, Clinical Counseling, and Leadership, and a Fargo-based Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
