Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Council’s Finance & Legal Committee recommends guaranteeing the 2024 purchase price for a Fire Department Rescue Truck.

The agreement would guarantee the price of $585,264 for the truck through Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing. The chassis cost of $324,094 due in 2023 upon delivery to the plant.

Mayor Dwaine Heinrich says there could be discounts if the amount is paid upon chassis delivery.

City Fire Chief Jim Reuther says they have roughly a year to wait for the chassis.
