Jamestown (JSDC) – The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp. Board of Directors, Monday, unanimously approved a request to increase Jamestown Tourism’s funding from JSDC from $75,000 to $125,000.

With approval from the Jamestown City Council and the Stutsman County Commission, the city of Jamestown’s share will be $100,000 and the county’s share will be $25,000. The funds will come from the JSDC incentive fund.

Jamestown Tourism requested an increase to $125,000 for assistance for tourism sites, events and other recreation entities.

As previously reported, Jamestown Tourism and the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce are using a shared resources model. The cost and duties of the executive director and marketing positions will be shared between Jamestown Tourism and the chamber, and allows Jamestown Tourism to increase salaries and offer benefits to its employees.
