(Arts Center) Join us for Oktoberfest this weekend Saturday, September 17th from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in the Hansen Arts Park. A celebration of beer, brats and lederhosen!
Oktoberfest is a Munich tradition since 1810, when it celebrated the betrothal of the Bavarian King Ludwig I to Princess Therese. Since that time, Oktoberfest has grown to a worldwide phenomenon, a celebration of all things German… in particular the especially Oktoberfest beer!
The Arts Center is proud to sponsor our own annual Oktoberfest celebration! Once again we are holding Oktoberfest downtown in our own Hansen Arts Park, the perfect venue for this popular fundraiser.
Oktoberfest includes: German style beers and cider on tap (Rootbeer also available) • German style bratwurst, mustards and fries as part of the admission price • Live music by the Flickertail band & Tim Burchill on accordion • and German style games and festivities. Costumes encouraged!

58th JFAA Annual Art Show opens this Thursday, September 15th with a reception at 5:30 pm. Meet some of the artists, enjoy refreshments and take in the talent our region has to offer.
The show will exhibit September 15 – October 29, 2022. We are excited to feature artists from around the state in varied mediums including painting, drawing, mixed media, fiber and sculpture.

Gallery hours are from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. And Saturday’s from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Admission is always free and open to all.
The Arts After School Program is creative fun for students in 3rd – 6th grade.

Next classes with openings: PRINTMAKING with Anna Jacobson starting September 19: Fine art printmaking involves the creation of a master plate from which multiple images are made. There are four main types of printmaking. The process and materials of these techniques influence the appearance of the final print. We will be learning about three of the four processes: Relief, Intaglio and screen printing.
The Land of Clay Pots – Wheel 101 with Anna Brock October 3 – 21: Get your wheels turning as you learn the basics of throwing pots on the potter’s wheel. This class will get you familiar with the material of clay and introduce foundational wheel-thrown forms such as bowls and cylinders.
