Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Public School Board unanimously approved the School Compliance Reports at Monday’s board meeting.

He indicated that the reports replace the prior school accreditation process.

Dr. Lech says administrators are required to review assurances and make sure the school’s and staff are certified.

Also Monday, Dr. Lech said the school district received a Building Tomorrow’s Leaders (BTL) Grant, of $11,200, used to support service learning projects in Civics.

Also approved was the transportation agreement with St. John’s Academy for the 2022-23 school year.

The enrollment and facilities task force study was updated,to study enrollment trends and facilities needs gathering varied perspectives on existing needs, challenges of aging facilities, and potential opportunities for enhancement in a solutions-oriented fashion.

After review of data a recommendation will be made to the Jamestown School Board on potential strategies and to consider to addressing declining enrollment and facility needs.

In other business the school board, was updated on the Career & Technology Center grant.

The center received a grant of $798,700 from the North Dakota State Board for Career and Technical Education.
