Valley City (VCPR) Valley City Parks and Recreation (VCPR) will be holding a series of fun and engaging family-friendly events in October.

The first event will be the free Halloween Movie at the Rec on Thursday, October 20th at 7:15 P.M. where they will be playing Scooby-Doo: The Movie, a family-friendly classic great for all ages! There will be popcorn, healthy snacks provided by On the Move, and door-prizes like an indoor basketball game, Kan Jam, yard games, and even a Fire HD Kids tablet!

The annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat will take place at the Gaukler Family Wellness Center parking lot on Friday, October 28th from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Halloween bags filled with candy, healthy snacks, and prizes will be provided by VCPR. Businesses or organizations interested in having a trunk-or-treat spot can call 701-845-3294.

The last event of the month will be the Halloween Costume Fun Run (5k) on Saturday, October 29th with the race starting at 9:00 A.M.. Run or walk this beautiful scenic route starting at Chautauqua Park and receive a free Halloween 5k T-shirt when you register!
