Valley City (CSi) The silent auction and bake sale start the evening off. November 4 Proceeds raised from the auction will be use for various improvements and enhancements at St. Catherine School.

The theme for this year’s auction is “How Sweet It Is!.” This “sweetness” has been cooked up by the generosity of the community and surrounding area businesses, parents, families, and the great support of the members of the parish of St. Catherine of Alexandria over the last 50 years.

Selling 300 tickets for $10 each for a chance to win $550 from Bank Forward, $250 from Ivy Real Estate Group, and $150 gift card donated by Valley Meat Supply. Raffle tickets will be sold by school family members, or you can purchase them at the school office.

You will be able to purchase for $10 one of the 100 magnets to win the chance of winning two (2) $250. Throughout the evening one will find many “sweet” deals during the silent auction and the live auction. Baskets will be filled with various items for the silent auction which will happen from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The live auction starts at 6:30pm. Like in years before there will be a “mystery” item with an opportunity to win some money.

Something new, in honor of our 50 years, will be a cookbook available to purchase. One of the school’s mother compiled 342 recipes from the families of the school and from alumni. It’s sure to be a “sweet” thing to have around your house and would make a great gift.

We are exceptionally grateful for all donations to our Fall Auction. The school relies heavily on these funds to continue to serve our students and community. We appreciate all the support that we receive. Know that the students and staff of St. Catherine School continue to pray for all the people of the great community of Valley City.

The “Kick Off” breakfast will be held Sunday Oct 30. The Knights of Columbus will cook up scrumptious eggs, sausage and other tantalizing items for the public to enjoy. The cost is a free will donation and will be offered in the Church Hall from 9:00am-12:00pm.
