The fire burned 20 acres of a shelter belt and slough. JRFD was dispatched at 7:20 p.m. to 3450 76th Avenue Southeast a half a mile north of Eldridge.
Fifteen rural firefighters and seven trucks were at the scene for about 3 and a half hours.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
